Its use is governed by the requirements and regulations approved by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>First: Eligible Entities<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Any establishment may apply for a license to use the <strong>\u201cMade in Oman\u201d<\/strong> logo provided that it:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Holds a <strong>valid industrial or artisanal license<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Carries out <strong>production activities within the Sultanate of Oman<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Intends to place the logo on its <strong>national products<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Second: Basic Requirements for Obtaining the License<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To obtain a license to use the <strong>\u201cMade in Oman\u201d<\/strong> logo, the following conditions must be met:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Clearly specify the <strong>name of the product<\/strong> to which the logo will be granted.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Achieve a <strong>local content ratio of not less than 20%<\/strong> of the total product value.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure that the applicant\u2019s <strong>industrial or artisanal license is valid<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Comply with all <strong>applicable regulations and requirements<\/strong> issued by the relevant authorities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Submit any <strong>additional data or documents<\/strong> requested by the Ministry, if required.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide a <strong>formal declaration confirming the accuracy and correctness<\/strong> of the information submitted.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Third: Calculation of the Local Content Ratio<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The local content ratio is calculated according to the following formula:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Local Content Ratio =<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"522\" height=\"46\" src=\"https:\/\/omfa.om\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/image.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14985\" srcset=\"https:\/\/omfa.om\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/image.png 522w, https:\/\/omfa.om\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/image-300x26.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 522px) 100vw, 522px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The resulting percentage must not be less than <strong>20%<\/strong> as a minimum threshold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Fourth: Application Procedures<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The license application shall be submitted using the <strong>official form approved by the Ministry<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The competent authority shall review the application within <strong>15 working days<\/strong> from the date all required conditions and documents are fulfilled.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Ministry may seek the assistance of <strong>other specialized entities<\/strong> to examine the application, if necessary.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Fifth: License Validity<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The license is issued for a period of <strong>three (3) years<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The license is <strong>renewable<\/strong> in accordance with the approved procedures.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sixth: Obligations After Obtaining the License<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The <strong>\u201cMade in Oman\u201d<\/strong> logo may not be used until the <strong>official license is issued<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The logo must be used in accordance with the <strong>approved technical guidelines<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The establishment must ensure <strong>continuous compliance with all requirements<\/strong> throughout the license validity period.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Seventh: Penalties for Violations<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the event of a violation of the provisions of the regulation, the Ministry may impose one or more of the following measures:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Issuance of a warning.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Imposition of an administrative fine not exceeding <strong>OMR 500<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Suspension of the license for a period not exceeding <strong>one year<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Revocation of the license.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Eighth: Grievances<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Any concerned party may submit a grievance against a decision within <strong>60 days<\/strong> from the date of notification.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The grievance shall be decided upon within <strong>30 days<\/strong>; failure to respond within this period shall be deemed a <strong>rejection of the grievance<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Requirements for Obtaining a License to Use the \u201cMade in Oman\u201d Logo The \u201cMade in Oman\u201d logo is an official national mark that reflects the quality of national products and enhances consumer confidence.
